Goodbye, Plastic Bags!
by adminPosted May 27, 2014
As Chequamegon Food Co-op continues to look at ways to best meet our ends when it comes to environmental responsibility, we have decided to discontinue plastic shopping bags in the store. You will only find plastic bags at the register until our current supply runs out. Looking to the future, we encourage you to bring your own bags (and you’ll get a 5¢ bag credit for each bag you bring and use).
While we do not currently have plans to discontinue plastic bags in our produce and bulk departments, we are looking into more environmentally friendly options for the new store. As always, if you have questions, comments, or concerns about this change, please feel free to leave a note in the suggestion box or talk to a Co-op staff member.
