Five to Thrive: What’s Next for the Co-op?

We’re going places and we need your help! To help guide us as we move forward, we have started working on a multi-year strategic plan. A strategic plan is basically a road map to get us where we want to go. We are using our Ends (the reasons why our Co-op exists) to guide our goals in the areas of local, community, health and nutrition, great food, and a healthy planet. These topics are what we are calling our “Five to Thrive,” five areas of focus that will help us to best meet our Ends.

Our first strategic planning committee meeting will be in the Community Room on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. This committee will create the process for gathering information and setting the direction for us to create our strategic plan. Join us to give your input on our timeline, methods of input, and other process items.

The agenda will be as follows:

  • Discuss what a Strategic Plan is and what it means for the CFC
  • Discuss the direction of CFC’s Strategic Plan
  • Create initial timeline for gathering information
  • Assign tasks for next meeting
  • Decide on date/time for next meeting

Help guide our future; join us for this fun brainstorming session!
